IN Defense of Food by Ashtyn


      EAT FOOD. NOT TO MUCH AND MOSTLY PLANTS
      Today we studied Dr. Price a dentist who closed his practice to study primitive groups of people around the world. He found Ideal health from people who ate no refined flour, no sugar, no canned or chemically reserved fruits, and no vegetable oils. These primitive cultures were getting 10x more vitamin A and D than us Americans. He also found that in these places, their teeth were a lot stronger and healthier.
     After reading a few pages, we studied the nutrients in soil. A question we had was, how do we create nutrient rich soil for planting vegetables? My mom looked it up in her phone and we found some great answers.

-------------------------->Manure for nitrogen
-------------------------->Chickens (to mix organic materials.)
------------------------->Rock powders (for more minerals.)
------------------------->Plant cover soil (like clovers,alfalfa, beans, and peas.) you can plant in another garden and every year swap your cover tops to your veggies garden and veggies to the cover tops old garden spot. 
-------------------------->Put cardboard or Newspaper down under your garden. (It will stop weeds underneath and after a while will decompose.)
